Sidang ini mendengarkan keterangan dari DPR dan Presiden Republik Indonesia terkait pengujian Pasal 53 ayat (4) UU Nomor 3 Tahun 2025 terhadap Undang-Undang Dasar Negara Republik Indonesia Tahun 1945. DPR menegaskan bahwa pertahanan negara merupakan fungsi utama pemerintahan dalam menjaga kesatuan dan kedaulatan bangsa.
Sementara itu, Wakil Menteri Hukum dan HAM menyampaikan ringkasan keterangan Presiden yang menjelaskan bahwa pengaturan mengenai jabatan prajurit TNI aktif di sejumlah kementerian dan lembaga bertujuan mempertegas pelaksanaan tugas pokok TNI serta menyinkronkan regulasi lintas sektor.
Vice Minister of Defence Donny Ermawan Taufanto attended the Judicial Review of the Indonesian National Armed Forces Law (TNI Law) at the Constitutional Court, Jakarta, on Thursday (9/10).
The session heard statements from the House of Representatives (DPR RI) and the President of the Republic of Indonesia regarding the judicial review of Article 53 paragraph (4) of Law No. 3 of 2025 against the 1945 Constitution. The DPR emphasised that national defence is a core function of governance in safeguarding the unity and sovereignty of the nation.
Meanwhile, the Vice Minister of Law and Human Rights delivered the President’s statement, explaining that the regulation allowing active TNI officers to serve in certain ministries and agencies aims to reinforce the TNI’s principal duties and ensure cross-sectoral regulatory synchronisation.
